Overview

Bruker D8 Discover diffractometer with transmission parallel beam capillary geometry.

Optics

While the instrument is currently equipped with a capillary spinner, beam optics for quasi-parallel CuKα1,2 line focused radiation, can be used in-plane, glancing angle and transmission mode. Custom-made adjustable upper and lower knife edges for reducing background are also provided. 

Detectors

Single point scintillation detector or LynxEye position sensitive detector.

Resolution

  • 0.0001° minimum step in source and detector
  • ~0.08° best resolution in 2θ
