About
Dr Giulio Isacco Lampronti, PhD from the University of Florence (Italy), has a broadly-based background in crystallography, diffraction techniques, electron microscopy, mineralogy, and crystal engineering with a track-record of over 80 research papers.
He has worked on precipitation from detergent solutions at the University of Padua (Italy) and Reckitt Benckiser R&D laboratories, and on polymorphism of small molecules at the University of Bologna (Italy).
He then ran the XRD and the electron microscopy laboratories in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge (UK) for ten years, before moving to his current position where he co-runs the X-Ray Facility of the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy.
His main research interests are the investigation of materials with time resolved diffraction under non-ambient conditions, and transformations and polymorph conversions via mechanochemical methods.
